Registration FAQs
Which camp is best for my athlete?
Our goal is for our camps to truly be the best volleyball camp experience ever for all athletes. We do our best to group campers into courts based on age, years of experience, skill, and, when we can, friends/roommate preferences with the hope that no matter which camp your athlete attends, they are able to be challenged and grow their skills at the level that is best for them.
We generally recommend the College Experience and Elite Skills camps for athletes who have an interest in playing volleyball at the collegiate level. Both camps are open for athletes beginning in the 7th grade; However, these camps are best suited for athletes with multiple years of volleyball experience at the school and/or club level, know what position(s) they play, and have mastered basic volleyball skills (overhand serving, attacking using a three-step approach, and passing to a target).
All Skills and Position Skills camps are great alternatives for athletes with less experience or have not mastered the basic skills listed above. These camps cover the basics and introduce high level skills with the proper technique. Both All Skills and Position Skills camps are also led by our Baylor Volleyball coaching staff and athletes and offer the same attention to detail and engaging environment!
The biggest difference between the Position Skills and All Skills camps is that in the Position Skills camp, athletes are separated onto courts based on their volleyball position, pin hitter (outside/right-side), setter, defensive specialist/libero, or middle hitter.
If you have any questions about which camp is best for your athlete, please send us an email at buvbcamp@gmail.com we’d be happy to help!
Can boys attend camp?
Yes! All of our camps are co-ed. Male athletes are not allowed to stay in the dorms. All male campers need to be registered as a "commuter" for multi-day camps and parents are responsible for accommodations
Are there any discounts or scholarships?
We offer discounts for families who register multiple children (applied automatically at checkout), and for teams who attend camp with 8 or more registering. For the team discount please email us at buvbcamp@gmail.com. We also offer a discount to Baylor Faculty and Staff, please email us at buvbcamp@gmail.com if you are a current BU Faculty/Staff looking to register your athlete.
Do I have to pay all at once?
No. There is an option on our registration checkout page that allows you to either pay the full balance upon checkout or defer the payment. Registration must be paid in full before an athlete is able to check in.
When is the final payment due?
All balances must be paid in order for an athlete to check-in on the first day of their registered camp.
Will any refunds be issued?
We have a cancellation policy that allows you to cancel your athlete's registration and receive a full refund 7 days before your camp start date.
Is there a camp store?
We will have a camp store with additional camp shirts and other Baylor apparel. Cash or credit cards are accepted!
